An entry-level 12"/30 cm subwoofer for a first proper bass system: 2+2 ohm dual voice coil, 300 W RMS continuous, 900 W peak, 88 dB sensitivity. 50 mm (2") voice coil wound with 200 °C copper wire, black non-pressed paper cone, large "R" suspension. A normal mono amplifier is enough. Sold per unit.

Why this subwoofer
Not a burst figure: 300 W RMS is what the voice coil takes continuously, with 900 W of peak headroom on top. A normal mono amplifier is enough — no big-budget system needed.
Two 2 ohm coils: in parallel 1 ohm, in series 4 ohm. Rare at this price, and it lets you wire the sub to the amplifier you already own.
50 mm (2") coil wound with 200 °C copper wire: it stays in shape through a long listening session at sensible levels.
Black non-pressed paper cone with a large "R" suspension: a warm, clean low end for a first build. No SPL claims, no marketing watts.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Decide the impedance before you wire it. The two 2 ohm coils in parallel give 1 ohm; in series they give 4 ohm. Check that your amplifier is stable at the impedance you choose.
- Match the amplifier to 300 W RMS. Sizing on the 900 W peak figure means overdriving the coil: use the RMS value.
- Build the enclosure rigid and sealed. Thick, braced, airtight panels. The recommended volume is in the manual — an undersized or leaking box loses output and rattles.
- Size the power cable for the amplifier, with an inline fuse close to the battery and a ground point on bare metal.
