Why this subwoofer
Not a burst figure: 6000 W RMS is the power the voice coil handles continuously, with 12000 W of peak headroom on top.
The bigger the coil, the more heat it dissipates and the longer it survives a real session. Wound with 280 °C aluminium wire.
Rated impedance 4 ohm with two 2 ohm coils: you choose how to wire them to match your amplifier instead of the other way round.
Compressed paper + fibreglass cone, large “R” form suspension and a 119×4 Oz Y35 ferrite magnet: Xmax 32.5 mm, Bl 25.25 TM, Sd 754.77 cm².

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Decide the impedance before you wire it. Rated impedance is 4 ohm, with two 2 ohm coils. Check that your amplifier is stable at the impedance you choose.
- Match the amplifier to 6000 W RMS. Sizing on the 12000 W PEAK figure means overdriving the coil: use the RMS value.
- Build the enclosure rigid. The product sheet gives a vented box of 95 L tuned to 31.4 Hz, with a circular vent Ø 110 mm and 26.5 cm long, two flanged ends: thick panels, braced and sealed, or the box will lose output and rattle.
- Leave room for the excursion. Xmax is 32.5 mm: check the clearance behind the cone and keep the mounting baffle rigid.
- Size the power cable for the amplifier, with an inline fuse close to the battery and a ground point on bare metal.
