Why this subwoofer
Not a burst figure: 5000 W RMS is the power the voice coil handles continuously, with 10000 W of continuous program power on top.
A four-inch coil on an aluminium former, wound in four layers of CCAW over a 70 mm winding depth: the heat gets out and the coil stays alive.
Two coils: in parallel 1 ohm, in series 4 ohm. You choose the impedance that matches your amplifier instead of the other way round.
An N38H neodymium magnet stack on an aluminium heatsink basket: 20.8 kg net for 5000 W RMS, with Xmax ±17.5 mm of clean travel.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Decide the impedance before you wire it. The two 2 ohm coils in parallel give 1 ohm, in series 4 ohm. Check that your amplifier is stable at the impedance you choose.
- Match the amplifier to 5000 W RMS. The 10000 W figure is continuous program power, not RMS: size the amplifier on the RMS value.
- Build the enclosure rigid. A 15" cone with ±17.5 mm of travel loads the box hard: thick panels, braced and sealed. The sheet gives a baffle cutout of 360 mm and a depth of 315 mm: check them before you cut the panel.
- Size the power cable for the amplifier, with an inline fuse close to the battery and a ground point on bare metal.
