Why this amplifier
A single output stage delivers its full rated power into 2 ohm: no bridging, no compromise between two channels. Everything goes to the subwoofer.
Smart Cooling System with a fan driven by temperature: it spins when the amplifier needs it and stays quiet when it does not. Heat is managed, not hoped away.
Input sensitivity from 200 mV, input impedance 56 kOhm. Factory low-level sources and high-output head units both drive it, and the RCA output passes the signal on to a second amplifier.
Output short circuit, high supply voltage, low supply voltage and thermal protection, and it works from 9 to 16 V. It defends itself instead of dying quietly.
Panels and dimensions
Both panels, nothing hidden. On one side GND, REM and +12 V screw terminals and the speaker output. On the other BASS BOOST, GAIN, the LOW and HIGH crossover controls, the remote socket and the RCA input and output.
207 × 219 × 74 mm. Side brackets, four mounting points, ventilation grille on top: measure the space before you decide where it goes.

The SP-2500.1D is sold as a single unit: the amplifier with its side mounting brackets. Installation material is not included, because it is chosen for your vehicle.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Power cable and fuse sized to the current. Choose the power and ground cable section for the current this amplifier draws and the length of the run, and fit an inline fuse within 20 cm of the battery, sized to the cable. Never fit a fuse larger than the cable can carry.
- A clean, short chassis ground. Ground to bare metal on the body: sand off paint, use a proper terminal and a bolt, and keep the ground cable as short as possible and the same section as the positive. Most noise problems are ground problems.
- Leave it room to breathe. The Smart Cooling System moves air through the amplifier: keep the grille and the vents clear, never cover it with carpet, luggage or foam, and leave a few centimetres of free space around it.
- Set the gain with an instrument, not by ear. GAIN is not a volume control: it matches the amplifier to the output of your source. Set it with the source at about three quarters of its range, raise it until the sound is clean, then stop. Clipping kills voice coils.
