Why this subwoofer
5 inches of CCAW winding on a 155 mm former, 65 mm of winding height, DCR 1.8 + 1.8 ohm on the two coils. That is the surface that turns 8000 W RMS into movement instead of heat.
Pure carbon fibre cone with a ribbed high-roll surround and a 3D woven carbon fibre dust cap. Rigid where it must not flex, free where it must travel.
Four 25 mm Y35 high-energy ferrite rings, a 280 × 20 mm T-yoke and a 35 mm chrome-plated top plate: 26.75 Tm of Bl and 56 kg on the scale.
6-layer progressive Nomex spider 250 mm across with heavy lead wires, anti-torsion die-cast aluminium basket, 8 × M8 mounting points. Every part is sized for the power.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Two people to install it. The driver weighs 56 kg net: a 2-technician installation is required, and the baffle has to carry that weight for the life of the car.
- Build the box in 25 mm minimum. Birch ply or MDF, 25 mm (1") minimum, with mandatory internal bracing. A double or triple baffle, 50 mm (2") or more, under the driver.
- Fix it with M8 or M10 and T-nuts. Eight mounting points, machine screws into T-nuts — never wood screws into the baffle edge.
- Break it in: 20 hours or more at moderate volume before any competition run. The suspension has to settle before it sees full power.
- Feed it properly. 8000 W RMS needs 0 GA power and ground, an inline fuse within 20 cm of the battery sized to the cable, and a charging system to match.
