Why this subwoofer
Not a burst figure: 7000 W RMS is the power the voice coil handles continuously, tested on 24h competitions, with 24000 W of peak headroom on top.
4 inch of coil wound in a 4-layer configuration on a former with venting holes, in 280 °C aluminium wire: heat leaves the motor instead of staying inside it.
Rated impedance 4 ohm with four 1 ohm coils: you choose how to wire them to match your amplifier instead of the other way round.
Progressive double-layer spiders, oversized lead wires, a basket designed for thermal dissipation and mechanical strength, and a massive ferrite motor: Xmax 25 mm, Bl 48.8 TM, 80 kg on the scale.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Decide the impedance before you wire it. Rated impedance is 4 ohm, with four 1 ohm coils. Check that your amplifier is stable at the impedance you choose.
- Match the amplifier to 7000 W RMS. Sizing on the 24000 W peak figure means overdriving the coil: use the RMS value.
- Build the enclosure rigid. The product sheet gives a vented box of 140 L tuned to 28 Hz, vent Ø 100×100 mm and 44 cm long, two flanged ends: thick panels, braced and sealed, or the box will lose output and rattle.
- Plan the mounting and the handling. One unit weighs 80 kg: the baffle and the fixings have to hold it, and it takes two people to fit it.
- Size the power cable for the amplifier, with an inline fuse close to the battery and a ground point on bare metal. The push connectors accept up to 12 AWG.
