A 12" midrange built for level: 500 W RMS, 101.5 dB, a 76.2 mm (3") CCAW voice coil and an 85 Oz ferrite motor behind 530 cm² of cone. 45 Hz to 6 kHz — low enough to carry the midbass, so the subwoofer only has to do the bass. Unit price.

Why this midrange
Sensitivity comes from area and motor, not from watts. 530 cm² of Sd and a Bl of 11.848 TM: one watt in, 101.5 dB out.
76.2 mm of CCAW voice coil: the thermal reserve that lets it take 500 W of continuous work, not a burst rating.
It reaches 45 Hz, so it carries the midbass — kick, bass guitar, the punch you feel in the chest — and leaves only the low bass to the subwoofer.
A big ferrite ring and a curvilinear fiberglass reinforced paper cone: no exotic materials to fail, just the mass and the stiffness the job needs.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. Two speakers in parallel on one channel give 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
- Use a high-pass filter. This is a midrange, not a subwoofer: cut below 45 Hz and let the sub do the low bass. Xmax is 1.5 mm — it is built for level, not for excursion.
- Bring the tweeter in below 6 kHz. The cone stops at 6 kHz, so the top end has to be covered by a tweeter, low-passed and high-passed to meet it.
- Check the numbers first. Cut-out 282.5 mm, outer 310.5 mm: a 12" midrange wants a custom baffle or a door pod, solidly fixed. Measure the depth available in your panel before you cut.
