The HM line takes the 10" as far as it goes: 500 W RMS, 102.5 dB, a 76.2 mm (3") voice coil and a 286 g N38H neodymium motor that weighs a fraction of a ferrite ring. 70 Hz to 15 kHz. Unit price.

Why this midrange
Two and a half decibels above the SP 10MM PLUS, on the same one watt. In an SPL build that gap is audible before you add a single amplifier channel.
76.2 mm of voice coil wound with 220 °C aluminium wire: the thermal reserve that lets it take 500 W of continuous work, not a burst rating.
The strongest magnet grade in the range, in a motor that weighs a fraction of an equivalent ferrite ring. A Bl of 10.94 TM with almost no mass behind the cone.
The neodymium motor is short: 95.4 mm of mounting depth against the 114 mm of the ferrite PLUS. It fits doors and pods that a big ferrite 10" cannot.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. Two speakers in parallel on one channel give 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
- Use a high-pass filter. This is a midrange, not a woofer: cut below 70 Hz and let the subwoofer do the bass. Xmax is 2 mm — it is built for level, not for excursion.
- Set the gain properly. Clipping kills voice coils far more often than power does.
- Check the numbers first. Cut-out 232.5 mm, outer 261 mm, depth 95.4 mm: it wants a door pod, a kick panel or a custom baffle, solidly fixed.
