Why this midrange
Three decibels of sensitivity are worth double the amplifier. At 97 dB a 200 W channel is serious volume, the kind SPL doors are built around.
A solid aluminium plug in the centre of the cone: it keeps the response clean off-axis and pulls heat away from the voice coil.
49.5 mm of EISV voice coil wound with 220 °C aluminium wire: more winding surface, more heat capacity, more minutes at full volume.
370 cm² of Sd — two and a half times a 6.5". Voice, snare and guitars come forward with real weight, without asking the subwoofer for help.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. Two speakers in parallel on one channel give 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
- Use a high-pass filter. This is a midrange, not a woofer: cut below 80 Hz and let the subwoofer do the bass. Feeding it low notes is the fastest way to damage it.
- Set the gain properly. Clipping kills voice coils far more often than power does.
- Plan the mounting. A 10"/25 cm frame does not fit factory door holes: it wants a door pod, a kick panel or a custom baffle, solidly fixed.
