Why this midrange
Almost 100 dB from one watt. On a 300 W channel this is competition-level output from a single 10" cone.
60.5 mm of CCAW voice coil: the biggest of the MM family. More winding surface, more heat capacity, more minutes at full volume.
The heavyweight ferrite ring of the 10" family. More magnetic force means more control over the cone at high excursion.
Curvilinear fiberglass reinforced paper: the curved profile spreads break-up, so the midrange stays clean when you push it.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. Two speakers in parallel on one channel give 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
- Use a high-pass filter. This is a midrange, not a subwoofer: it reaches 50 Hz, but for SPL duty cut higher and let the subwoofer do the bass.
- Set the gain properly. Clipping kills voice coils far more often than power does.
- Plan the mounting. A 10"/25 cm frame does not fit factory door holes: it wants a door pod, a kick panel or a custom baffle, solidly fixed. It runs to 6 kHz: always pair it with a tweeter.
