Why this subwoofer
Not a burst figure: 3000 W RMS is the power the voice coil handles continuously, with 6000 W of peak headroom on top.
The bigger the coil, the more heat it dissipates and the longer it survives a real session. Wound with 220 °C aluminium wire.
Two 2 ohm coils: in series 4 ohm, in parallel 1 ohm. You choose the impedance that matches your amplifier instead of the other way round.
804.2 cm² of radiating surface (Sd) and 32 mm of linear excursion: compressed paper with fibreglass, large "R" suspension, 86×3 oz Y30 ferrite motor.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Decide the impedance before you wire it. The two 2 ohm coils in series give 4 ohm, in parallel 1 ohm. Check that your amplifier is stable at the impedance you choose.
- Match the amplifier to 3000 W RMS. Sizing on the 6000 W peak figure means overdriving the coil: use the RMS value.
- Build the enclosure rigid. The data sheet gives a 125 L vented box tuned to 30 Hz: thick panels, braced and sealed, or the box will lose output and rattle. With 32 mm of Xmax, leave the cone room to move.
- Size the power cable for the amplifier, with an inline fuse close to the battery and a ground point on bare metal.
