Why this driver
Sensitivity is what makes a horn system loud. At 110 dB this driver sits above the midrange without asking for huge power.
The coil measures 44.4 mm / 1.75" and is wound in CCAW (aluminium). That is the part that turns 250 W RMS into pressure and then has to survive it.
The throat is a standard 25 mm (1"). You choose the horn: flare, dispersion and look are your decision, not ours.
Rated from 800 Hz to 10 kHz on a 15 oz magnet assembly. A wide usable band for a front stage or an SPL wall.

Before you install it
- It always needs a crossover. Never full range. A compression driver wired straight to the amplifier does not survive. Use a crossover, or at the very least a capacitor in series.
- Do not cross below 800 Hz. 800 Hz is the lowest frequency this driver is rated for. Going under it, at any power, is the fastest way to tear the diaphragm.
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. 4 ohm is the minimum load. Two drivers in parallel on one channel give 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
- Add a horn before you play it. This driver ships without one. Mount it on a 25 mm (1") horn, aim it at the listener, then bring the gain up slowly. Clipping kills compression drivers far more often than power does.
