Before you install it

It always needs a crossover. Never full range. A compression driver wired straight to the amplifier does not survive. Use a crossover, or at the very least a capacitor in series.
Add a horn before you play it. This driver ships without one. The horn flange is sold separately: mount it first, then aim the horn at the listener.
Set the gain low and bring it up slowly. Clipping kills compression drivers far more often than power does, and 500 W RMS leaves no margin for a squared-off signal.
Mount it properly. 8.35 kg in the shipping box is not a tweeter: use a bracket that can hold the driver and the horn together, bolted to something solid.
