The loud one.
The high efficiency version of the 6.5" component kit: two 165 mm midranges at 96 dB, two aluminium bullet super tweeters at 98 dB and two dedicated crossovers. 200 W RMS for the kit, 4 ohm. Ten decibels more sensitive than the standard kit — it plays loud with far less amplifier. The tweeter mounts high on the pillar and the stage rises with it, which a coaxial cannot do.

Why this kit
Three decibels of sensitivity are worth double the amplifier. At 96 dB on the midrange and 98 dB on the tweeter, a modest 2-channel amp already fills the car.
In a component system the tweeter is a separate piece. Mount it high — pillar, mirror triangle, top of the door — and the whole stage lifts to the windscreen. A coaxial keeps the highs down by your knees and can never do this.
Two dedicated passive crossovers, one per side. They send the low frequencies to the midrange and the highs to the tweeter, so neither driver gets what it cannot handle. Nothing to buy, nothing to calculate.
The aluminium bullet tweeter runs from 2 kHz to 20 kHz and takes 100 W RMS — as much as the midrange. It does not run out of headroom when the volume goes up.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- The tweeter never goes straight on the amplifier. It must be wired through its crossover. Sending it full range is the fastest way to burn it, and it is not a warranty case.
- Put the crossover where you can reach it. Behind the door panel or under the seat, but reachable: you will want to change the tweeter level once the car is together. Keep it dry and away from the window mechanism.
- High-pass the midrange. Cut below 100 Hz and leave the bass to a subwoofer: this is a midrange, not a woofer.
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. One crossover per channel. Two on the same channel give 2 ohm and most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
