Why this tweeter
A 1" titanium voice coil: stiff, light and thermally tough. That combination is what lets a tweeter take 100 W RMS all evening instead of only in short bursts.
100 W RMS and 200 W peak, per tweeter. The RMS figure is the one that matters when you set the gain: it is what the tweeter takes without stopping.
Nominal 4 ohm. One tweeter per amplifier channel keeps the load where every amplifier is happy, with no heat and no protection cut-outs.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Never connect it straight to the amplifier. A tweeter always needs a crossover, or at the very least a capacitor in series. Full range on a tweeter destroys the voice coil in seconds.
- Cross it high, not low. This is a bullet tweeter: it plays the top of the range and nothing else. The mid-bass belongs to the midrange, the bass to the subwoofer.
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. The pair in parallel on one channel gives 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection. One tweeter per channel is the safe way.
- Aim it, and set the gain low. The horn is directional, so point it at the listener; then bring the level up slowly. Clipping kills tweeters far more often than power does.
