Why this tweeter
The number that matters is the continuous one: 150 W RMS on a nominal 4 ohm load. The 300 W MAX figure is a peak, it is not a working power and we do not sell it as one.
Sensitivity is what you actually hear. At 105 dB SPL 1W/1M this tweeter sits on top of the midrange and the sub without asking the amplifier for much.
A 37 mm KCCAW voice coil. That is the part that turns watts into pressure, and it is the part that burns if you run a tweeter full range.
The price on this page is for one tweeter. Build a two-way front with two of them, or add a single one to a system that is already there — you decide, without paying for a pair.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Never connect it straight to the amplifier. A tweeter always needs a crossover, or at the very least a capacitor in series. Full range on a tweeter destroys the voice coil in seconds.
- Cross it high, not low. This is a super tweeter: it plays the top of the range and nothing else. The mid-bass belongs to the midrange, the bass to the subwoofer.
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. This page is one piece. Two of them in parallel on the same channel give 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection. One tweeter per channel is the safe way.
- Aim it, and set the gain low. A tweeter like this is directional, so point it at the listener; then bring the level up slowly. Clipping kills tweeters far more often than power does.
