4 × 0/4 GA.
Heavy-duty, machined.

The SP-BT 29 is a pair of heavy-duty battery terminals, one positive and one negative, built for high-current car-audio installations. Each terminal clamps onto the battery post and offers two cable inputs for 0 to 4 AWG cable, so you can feed several amplifiers or distribution blocks straight from the battery.

Why this terminal

Two inputs per terminal

Each input accepts cable from 0 AWG (53.5 mm²) to 4 AWG (21.2 mm²): four inputs on the pair.

Two screws on every input

Two hex-socket set screws clamp the strands of each cable: four screws per terminal.

Slotted post clamp

A slotted clamp with one hex-socket clamp bolt locks the terminal on the post: it must not rotate or lift.

Machined body

Bright silver finish that keeps the installation tidy and easy to check at a glance.

Laser-marked polarity

+ and − marked on the top face; the two terminals are mirror images of each other.

Several amplifiers, one point

Feed amplifiers or distribution blocks straight from the battery, each line with its own fuse.

Complete the system

05

Before you install it

  • Disconnect the battery first. Remove the negative (−) cable first, then the positive (+). Reconnect in the opposite order: positive first, negative last.
  • Fuse the positive line. An inline fuse holder within 20 cm (8 in) of the battery on every positive cable that leaves the terminal. No fuse, no fire protection.
  • Check polarity twice. Each terminal is marked + or −. Never force a terminal onto the wrong post: reversed polarity is not covered by warranty.
  • Never smaller than 4 AWG. Size cable and fuse for the total current of your system, following the amplifier data. Never use a cable smaller than 4 AWG in these ports.
  • Torque rule of thumb. Tight enough that cables and terminal cannot be moved by hand, never so tight that screw heads or clamp deform. Re-check after the first drive.

Questions installers ask

Why "4 × 0/4 GA"?Four cable inputs in total, two per terminal, and each one accepts cable from 0 AWG to 4 AWG.
Which cable size should I use?0 AWG (53.5 mm²) for the main feed of large systems and long runs, 4 AWG (21.2 mm²) for medium systems and short branch feeds. Never smaller than 4 AWG.
How big is it?About 85 × 44 × 20 mm, with a Ø 17 mm post hole and two Ø 14 mm cable inputs per terminal.
What should I measure after installing it?About 12.4–12.8 V at the terminal with the engine off, about 13.8–14.6 V with the engine running, and a voltage drop across each connection under load as close to 0 V as possible.
What current does it handle? The manufacturer does not declare a current rating. Size cable and fuse for the total current of your system: ask us and we will check it with you.
