Why this midrange
With 93 dB of sensitivity, 80 W RMS per channel is already a full, present midrange inside a car. A small four-channel amplifier is enough.
It is not asked to do everything. It works where voices and instruments live, and leaves the bass to the subwoofer and the top end to a tweeter. That is why it stays clean.
A compact coil with a 6 mm wide copper winding: light moving mass, quick response on voices, and heat that gets out instead of building up.
A classic ferrite motor, sized for continuous use rather than for a spec sheet. 4 ohm nominal: it works with any standard car amplifier.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. Two speakers in parallel on one channel give 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
- Use a high-pass filter at 110 Hz or above. This is a midrange, not a woofer: let the subwoofer do the bass. Feeding it low notes is the fastest way to damage it.
- Add a tweeter. It runs to 12 kHz: on its own the top end is missing. With a tweeter above it the system is complete.
- Set the gain properly. With 80 W RMS there is no margin for clipping, and clipping kills voice coils far more often than power does.
