The 8"/20 cm midrange of the EM series: 200 mm, 97 dB, a 38.5 mm EISV voice coil and a ferrite motor. It reaches down to 90 Hz, so the voices sit on a real body of sound instead of floating over the sub. Sold as a pair.

Why this midrange
Sensitivity is worth more than watts in a car. At 97 dB a channel of 130 W RMS already fills the cabin, and the amplifier never has to work near its limit.
An 8" cone moves far more air than a 6.5". It carries the lower midrange — male voices, the body of a guitar — instead of leaving that job to the subwoofer.
1.5" EISV: a large coil for a midrange. More winding surface means more heat leaving the motor, so long sessions at volume stay under control.
Nominal 4 ohm and 3.2 ohm minimum: it matches any normal 4-channel amplifier without special wiring or exotic loads.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Check the depth and the hole first. An 8" frame needs a 20 cm location: measure the door or the pod before ordering, and plan an adapter ring if the factory opening is smaller.
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. Two speakers in parallel on one channel give 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
- Use a high-pass filter. This is a midrange, not a woofer: cut below 90 Hz and let the subwoofer do the bass. Feeding it low notes is the fastest way to damage it.
- Seal the door panel. A big midrange in an open door loses exactly the lower midrange you bought it for: sound-deaden the panel and you gain more than changing the speaker.
