Why this driver
A compression driver turns a few watts into a lot of pressure. At 105 dB SPL 1W/1M it stays on top of the midranges and the subwoofer without asking much of the amplifier.
The moving part is a titanium diaphragm driven by a 44.4 mm coil, wound in two layers of CCAW on a Kapton former. That is what keeps the top end clean at high level.
You are not buying a bare motor: this unit ships with its ABS+PC horn already fitted. Nothing else to buy to make it play.
A ferrite ring magnet ⌀115 × ⌀56 × 15 mm, 1.4 T of flux density and a 5 mm magnetic gap. It weighs 1.55 kg — compact enough to fit where the big drivers do not.
Look at it closely
Titanium diaphragm, 44.4 mm voice coil, 25.4 mm (1") throat. Everything the driver produces passes through that throat before it enters the horn.
Ferrite ring ⌀115 × ⌀56 × 15 mm, 1.4 T in a 5 mm gap, T-yoke 5 mm. Overall 155 mm (155 × 135 mm), 103 mm deep, 1.55 kg.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- It always needs a crossover. Never full range. A compression driver must never see the whole signal: run full range, the titanium diaphragm is gone in seconds. A high-pass filter, always.
- Do not cross it below 1500 Hz. 1500 Hz is the resonance frequency declared by the factory and the bottom of its usable range (1500 Hz – 20 kHz). Going lower is the quickest way to break it.
- 8 ohm nominal, 6.3 ohm DC. Check what your amplifier does on 8 ohm before wiring several drivers in parallel on one channel.
- Aim it, and start with the gain low. A horn is directional: point it at the listener, then bring the level up slowly. Clipping kills drivers far more often than power does.
