Why this coaxial
The tweeter sits in the centre of the cone, on the same axis: voices and cymbals come from the same point as the midrange. No separate tweeter to mount, no external crossover to buy.
1.75" EISV coil wound with 220 °C aluminium wire on a 31 Oz ferrite motor. It takes 250 W continuous per speaker, not a burst figure.
High sensitivity means the amplifier works less for the same volume. At 97 dB a 250 W channel is a very loud front stage inside a car.
Light enough to stay fast on voices, rigid enough not to bend at high volume, with an M-ROLL polycotton surround.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Do not go below 4 ohm per channel. Two speakers in parallel on one channel give 2 ohm: most amplifiers will heat up or go into protection.
- Use a high-pass filter. This is a midrange, not a woofer: cut below 90 Hz and let the subwoofer do the bass. Feeding it low notes is the fastest way to damage it.
- Check the depth before you buy the rings. It needs 89 mm (3.50") behind the panel, a 182.5 mm (7.19") cut-out and 209.2 mm (8.24") of outer diameter.
- Set the gain properly. On a coaxial the tweeter is the first thing clipping destroys. Distortion kills voice coils far more often than power does.
