The flare. The driver is separate.
A plastic horn flange for SP Audio compression drivers, and the largest plastic flare in the SP-HORN range. A bigger mouth loads the driver over a wider area and throws the sound further down the car park. Part number 16005, 0.45 kg, sold as one piece: the driver is not included.
Geometry and fitting
A horn has no power rating and no sensitivity of its own: those belong to the compression driver you screw into it. What the horn decides is the shape — how wide the mouth is, how the flare opens, and therefore how tightly the sound is aimed.

Why this horn
Of the three plastic SP-HORN flares this is the widest. The wider the mouth, the more the horn concentrates what the driver produces into a beam that travels.
A horn does not add watts. It stops the driver spraying sound in every direction and points it where the listener is, which is why a horn install sounds louder from the same amplifier.
The flare mounts on the throat of an SP Audio compression driver. Check the throat thread and diameter of the driver you already own, or buy the pair together — see the drivers below.
Weight matters on a horn: it hangs off the driver, and both are held by whatever bracket you build. At 0.45 kg this one stays manageable on a normal fixing.

The price on this page is for a single SP-HORN 100 horn flange. It is the flare only: the compression driver is not included and is sold separately. If you do not already own a driver, add one from the list below — a horn on its own makes no sound.

Complete the system
Before you install it
- Check the throat before you order. A horn only fits a driver whose throat thread and diameter match. Measure the driver you own, or tell us which one it is and we will confirm it before you buy.
- Mount it solid. The horn and the driver together hang on one fixing. Use a real bracket and metal screws, not tape or a plastic clip: vibration will find any weak point.
- The crossover point is set by the driver, not the horn. The horn does not filter anything. The high-pass frequency comes from the compression driver's specification and from your crossover — never run a driver full range.
- Aim it at the listener. A horn is directional by design. Point the mouth where people sit, then set the amplifier gain low and bring it up slowly.
